If you start winning you can increase the size of your bets and/or take on more risky wagers.

Players betting against the shooter are not popular with some players. There is a belief that when there are more wrong than right players at a table it is bad luck and more sevens are going to be rolled. If you are making these bets at a casino it may be a good idea not to make it to obvious.

When a female plays the game of Craps it is thought to bring luck to the table. Superstition (and many Craps players are very superstitious) has it that a virgin shooter (a woman who has never rolled the dice) will have a hot roll the first time she throws. Virgin male players are considered bad luck, as the hands of a virgin male player haven’t handled the dice enough and the dice are cold.

Watch the payoff values of certain wagers. You need to wager the correct amount so that the payoff is an even value. When the payoffs are uneven the casino will sometimes not pay off properly, they round down to the next even payoff value. Thus a winning $5 bet paying 3 to 2 will only result in a payoff of $7 but it should pay $7.50. On bets paying 3 to 2 you should only make even number bets, for example a $6 bet will not be rounded down and pay the full $9.
